Happy Gringo arranged for a trip to the Amazon at Anaconda Lodge in Ahuano.  Anaconda Lodge was wonderful. The owners work with the local community and the guides really loved sharing their knowledge of the Amazon and its wonders. The food was fresh and delicious and so many birds and butterflies as well as a cute family of monkeys on the riverside on our way to hike and tube.Just bring insect repellant with DEET and wear long-sleeves and pants. The bugs are no joke.
