- The Amazon Dolphin Lodge is located in the Ecuadorian Amazon basin, in tropical humid forest.
- The surrounding Pañacocha protected forest reserve, (56,000 has) is central to a biological corridor linking Yasuni National Park and the Cuyabeno Wildlife Refuge.
- Different activities include jungle treks, wildlife observation, night explorations and the opportunity to visit a local community.
- A short list of possible wildlife highlights on this tour includes: Howler, Squirrel, Capuchin and night monkeys along with the Black-mantled Tamarin and Pigmy Marmosets, and of course the Amazon Pink River Dolphin.
- This tour includes a visit to a Kichwa indian community, and fun activities such as shooting darts from a blow gun!

Itinerary for 4 days
- Day 1Journey to lodge from Coca by motorised canoe, with box lunch and wildlife spotting on route. Dinner at lodge. Night walk in search of nocturnal species such as amphibians & insects.
- Day 2Early canoe ride to Pañacocha Lagoon for bird watching and trek. Afternoon fishing for piranha.
- Day 3Morning canoe ride to the flooded forest at Piguali Lagoon. Afternoon transfer to the Yarina ecological reserve, and visit to Sapococha Lake.
- Day 4Breakfast, check-out and return to Coca city.

- Day 1Journey to lodge from Coca by motorised canoe, with box lunch and wildlife spotting on route. Dinner at lodge. Night walk in search of nocturnal species such as amphibians & insects.

- Day 3Morning forest trek to learn about medicinal plants and search for wildlife. In the afternoon your guide will share his knowledge of the blow gun. Night right in small piragua boats in search of wildlife.
- Day 4– Morning canoe ride to the flooded forest at Piguali Lagoon. Afternoon transfer to the Yarina ecological reserve, and visit to Sapococha Lake.
- Day 5Breakfast, check-out and return to Coca city.
Trip itineraries
Standard departure days are Friday-Monday (4 days) and Monday-Friday (5 days), but often other starting days will also be available – please contact our sale staff to check availability for your dates of travel.

Access - transportation
- The tour starts and finishes at the town of Coca.
- There is a direct flight from Quito to Coca for $291 return fare (subject to change) – we can help with your flight reservation or provide information of which bus to catch.
- Please note that the lodge charge a $10 penalty fee for passengers who do not book flights through them.
