Itinerary for 4 days
- Day 1 Meet your guide in Lago Agrio town, journey to Jamu Lodge by bus (2 hours) and motorized canoe (2 hours), box lunch on route. Sunset at Laguna Grande & dinner at lodge.
- Day 2 Morning primary forest trek in search of interesting flora and fauna. After lunch see butterflies, swim in the lagoon, and look for pink dolphins. Dinner at lodge, and night search for caiman alligators.
- Day 3 Morning visit to a family of the Tarapuy community. Afternoon at the lodge to relax. Nocturnal walk to observe night species such as spiders, ghekos or scorpions.
- Day 4 Optional early bird watching excursion. Breakfast and departure back to Lago Agrio where the tour ends at aprox 3pm.

Access - transportation
- The Jamu tour starts and finishes at the town of Lago Agrio.
- The bus from Quito typically takes between 6 to 7 hours. Public buses (approx. $10), leave around 11:00pm the day before the trip starts, and return on the final afternoon of the trip arriving back to Quito around 9pm.
