DAY 1 LIMA (-)
Welcome to Lima, the city of the kings. you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon we’ll explore the best sites of the city, including the Main Square and Plaza San Martin in the historic center.
DAY 2 LIMA - CUSCO (B)
Taking an early flight from Lima to Cusco (not included), you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a comprehensive Cusco city tour including Koricancha Sun Temple, Cusco Cathedral, Kenko amphitheater, Sacsayhuaman Fortress, & Tambomachay aqueducts.
DAY 3 CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY (B, L)
After breakfast we leave Cusco behind, heading into the Sacred Valley. First stop is Pisaq handicrafts market and Inca ruins, followed by Awana Kancha - a breeding center of South American camels (guanacos, llamas, alpacas and vicunas) & Andean weaving. We’ll enjoy a traditional lunch with a local Quechua family in Urubamba, before a visit to the spectacular fortress of Ollantaytambo, and overnight stay in the valley.
DAY 4 SACRED VALLEY - AGUAS CALIENTES (B, D)
After breakfast we’ll board the famous Inca Rail train from the Sacred Valley up to Aguas Calientes town. From there, we’ll head straight up to Machu Picchu entrance with your guide. Your Machu Picchu ticket (Circuit 2A Classic) includes both the agricultural and urban sectors of the site, including the Inca quarry, Sun Temple lookout point, the Sacred Stone, Qolqa storage areas, Temple of the Condor, and the Guard House. Afternoon at leisure in Aguas Calientes. Note: If this circuit is not available, we will arrange Circuit #2B (Lower Terrace) or Circuit #3B (Royalty Route).
DAY 5 AGUAS CALIENTES - CUSCO (B)
Your morning can be spent at leisure, or with an optional second visit in Machu Picchu or hike up Wayna Picchu peak (see optional extras in exclusion section). In the afternoon, you’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, then be transferred by road back to your hotel in Cusco.
DAY 6 DAY TREK FROM CUSCO (B, L)
Today you have a choice between 2 of the best day trips from Cusco: Rainbow Mountain: A 45-60 minutes trek on a relatively flat path, high up at 5,020m/16,500ft to enjoy (on a clear day) the panoramic views of the vibrant colors of Vinicunca and also the majestic Ausangate snow-capped mountain in the background. or Humantay Lake: Enjoy a 2 hour trek to a lookout with spectacular panoramic views over turquoise waters and snow-capped mountains at Humantay Lake & glacier.
DAY 7 CUSCO TOUR END (B)
It’s time to say goodbye and return home with unforgettable memories. A transfer to Cusco airport is included in time for your flight out. Cusco is a wonderful city to explore by yourself, so we recommend booking a late flight out, allowing more time to enjoy the sites.

DAY 6 RAINBOW MOUNTAIN DAY TREK (B, L)
We begin early today around 5:00 am for a 3hour bus ride to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. While the trek usually takes just 45-60 minutes on a relatively flat path, the challenge lies in the high altitude at 5,020m/16,500ft, so remember take it slow. On a clear day, we’ll enjoy the panoramic views of the vibrant colors of Vinicunca and also the majestic Ausangate snow-capped mountain in the background. After this tour you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco.
DAY 7 HUMANTAY LAKE DAY TREK (B, L)
Enjoy spectacular panoramic views over turquoise waters and snow-capped mountains at Humantay Lake. It’s a 3.5 hours drive Mollepata village, before ascending a winding mountain road up to the Soraypampa trail head. The trek itself is aprox. 2-hour ascent to a lookout with stunning views of the turquoise waters of Humantay Lake with Humantay Glacier looming behind it. After this tour you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco.
DAY 8 CUSCO TOUR END (B)
It’s time to say goodbye and return home with unforgettable memories. A transfer to Cusco airport is included in time for your flight out. Cusco is a wonderful city to explore by yourself, so we recommend booking a late flight out, allowing more time to enjoy the sites.

About Machu Picchu

  • Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu are personalized and have to be pre-purchased with full passport details of the visitor. Once issued, these tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  • Each ticket is issued for a specific timeslot, during which you have access to enter Machu Picchu. For each timeslot there is a limited number of tickets allocated, which are sold first come, first served.
  • The visit to Machu Picchu is restricted to specific circuits which you´ll need to follow. It is not possible to re-enter the ruins with the same entrance ticket.
