Historic haciendas are a legacy of ancient colonial days under Spanish rule, built in picturesque parts of the Ecuadorian Andes. This tour visits two of the country’s finest examples.
- Hacienda La Cienega, situated at the slopes of the majestic Cotopaxi Volcano boasts over 300 years of history. Famous South American liberator, Simon Bolivar, even stayed here long ago.
- Hacienda Cusin, located close to the beautiful San Pablo Lake and Imbabura Volcano. A charmingly restored 17th century Andean estate, with wonderful gardens and grounds to explore.
- Activities on this tour include horse riding in Cotopaxi National Park, trekking at Cuicocha crater lake, and souvenir shopping at famous Otavalo indigenous market.

Itinerary
- DAY 1 Transfer to El Porvenir + Horseback riding in the Cotopaxi area, riding through Andean landscapes with views of the volcano + Transfer to La Ciénega.
- DAY 2 Transfer to Otavalo + Free afternoon to relax, explore the surroundings, and acclimatize.
