  • DAY 1 Journey to lodge by bus and motorized canoe. Lunch, relaxation, and visit to Laguna Grande for swimming, sunset, and search for pink dolphins.
  • DAY 2 Morning forest trek in search of interesting flora and fauna. Afternoon paddle through interconnected rivers in our silent catamaran. Nocturnal caiman alligator spotting.
  • DAY 3 Visit the Siona indigenous community, learn to make Cassave from yuca, visit the shaman healer. Afternoon  Visit to Laguna Grande for swimming and sunset.

  • Transport from Quito to Lago Agrio and back - Private tourist bus is $30 per way, public bus is approx $10 US.

  • Children under 7 years old get a 50% discount.
  • Children under 12 years old get a 75% discount.
  • If a single room is desired, there is an additional cost of $30.00 per night.

Access - transportation

  • The Caiman tour starts and finishes at the town of Lago Agrio.
  • The bus from Quito typically takes between 6 to 7 hours. There are 2 bus options: Private bus for foreigners ($20 per way) or the regular public bus (approx. $10), both leave around 11:00pm the day before the trip starts, and return on the final afternoon of the trip arriving back to Quito around 9pm.
