Zafiro Amazon Cruise Inclusions

• 1 night hotel accommodation in city of Iquitos. (Only 8D/7N and 5D/4N programs).
• Lunch is included before boarding at our DoubleTree by Hilton Iquitos hotel. (This service depends on the arrival time of the recommended flight, which might change).
• All meals while aboard the Zafiro cruise.
• All excursions & equipment (including use of rubber boots & rain ponchos).
• Transfers from / to the airport on the recommended flights.
• Entrance fee to Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.
• Sodas, natural juices, coffee, tea, water, local beer, house wines and pisco cocktails are included at lunch and dinner. Premium bar with additional cost.
• Welcome drink: Pisco Sour.

Zafiro Amazon Cruise Exclusions

• Domestic flights (Lima – Iquitos – Lima) - please ask us which flight departures we recommend.
• Single Supplement: 40% extra in addition to the adult rate. Zafiro: +50% in addition to the adult rate on Master Suites and Zafiro Suite. Not available on Christmas and New Year holidays. Not combinable with other offers.
• Child policy: Children aged 7 to 11 years old are eligible for a 50% discount from the adult rate. Children must be accompanied by one or two adults per cabin. The capacity is of one child per cabin.
• Tipping. The Zafiro recommends USD 25 to USD 30 per passenger per night for the crew (which will be divided among all crew members) and USD 7 to USD 10 per passenger per night for the guides.
• Any additional transportation services.
• Any additional bar consumptions.
• Cost of medical emergencies (including evacuation).

Transportation to the Zafiro Cruise

• Zafir tours start and finish at Iquitos, Peru. Access to Iquitos is by return flight from Lima.

Important note about seasons:

LOW WATER SEASON June to November. At this time the climate is drier and the low water levels attract creatures that can hardly be seen in the rainy season. The water level of the rivers falls during this period, exposing surprising sandy beaches. An ideal time to stroll through the forest and discover the Amazonian flora and fauna. Ideal for travelers who want to discover the Amazon’s flora and fauna by walking through the rainforest.

HIGH WATER SEASON December to May. This time of year is marked by rains and storms. It is in these months when most plants bloom or bear fruit, creating a unique show. Birds and primates are attracted by this spectacle and can be seen on the banks of the river. Ideal for travelers who prefer exploring the Amazon and its tributaries by boat rather than walking.
